This was bred by Douglas Owen, who has been fortunate to be friendly with Nigel Langstaff and the late Ian Crammond. He obtained some Jan Aarden based pigeons from Ian and Nigel in 2004 and then some Vandenabeele’s from their stock birds in 2008. They come through the M & D Evans lines of Shadow, Carrie, Jester, Eisenhower etc. He also obtained a full brother to ‘Crackerjack’ that won 1st Open L&SECC Bergerac for Ian and Nigel.
These and his old family, largely based on the birds of Alan Wilson, Locharbriggs, John Tyerman, Brackesham and Mr & Mrs Eric Cannon of Godalming have served him well over the years.
