Welsh Elite One Loft Race – A Journey of Growth and Dedication

The Welsh Elite One Loft Race has now been up and running for three years. After more than forty years of domestic racing, it’s been quite a journey of transition to get to where we are today.

Gone are the fierce weekend club rivalries, but in their place has come something even more rewarding the desire to be better than we were last year, to keep improving, and to be the very best we can.

This year has been our best year yet, and I fully expect to say the same next year and the year after that. The planned loft extension is imminent, and we’ll be ready to welcome an increased intake for the 2026 season.

For the past three years, I’ve run the Welsh Elite One Loft Race alongside my regular job as an insurance broker. But with the success we’ve achieved so far, I fully expect next year’s intake to reach capacity. That will be the moment I make the pledge to step away from the day job and dedicate myself full-time to the Welsh Elite One Loft Race giving it, and you fanciers, the full attention you deserve.

I’m extremely proud of our payout-to-intake ratio, and I believe our training and racing returns are exceptional. I am highly motivated and my focus for 2026 is to maintain a similar or maybe even better standard.

My only promise is simple: I will give 100%, day in and day out.

2026 is going to be our best year yet. Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far and to all who’ve already signed up for next year. Each and every one of you is appreciated more than I can say 👊
