What a hen to have as your mother! Blue Point, GB23D12546, heads the promotion for this outstanding team of 17 youngsters. Her supplied record stands at 20 x 1st, 5 x 2nd and 5 x 3rd, with wins against 2,650, 2,343, 1,813, 1,432, 1,002, 996 and 921 birds among her highlights. Winner of the 2024 RPRA North West Region Sprint Award, she is also a strong candidate for the 2026 UK National Ace Sprint Award.
LOT 1, FIRST POINT, IS HER DIRECT SON — THE FIRST CHILD OF BLUE POINT EVER OFFERED AT PUBLIC AUCTION. His sire is Blue 60, winner of 1st Federation 620 birds and 1st Federation 669 birds, with 3rd Open 2,422 birds and 4th Combine 2,427 birds also on his record. A double Federation winner paired to an outstanding sprint hen — what a way to start the sale!
Ray & Rab’s father and son partnership have flown well for several seasons, and 2025 was a season they will never forget. Their small team produced brilliant performances, topping the mighty Central Lancs Combine on several occasions. In some races they topped two Federations on the same day and took the first five positions in the Combine. There are not so many fanciers who can boast that record.
The winning has continued in 2026. From Mangotsfield on 20 June they took 1st, 5th, 7th and 24th Altrincham Federation against 493 birds, with GB24D12528 taking the top spot and Blue Point, GB23D12546, taking 7th. On the same day their Sunnybrow team took 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 7th Club against 85 birds, headed by GB23D12560. Good pigeons, worked well, and the reward is clear to see.
This year’s auction brings together 17 youngsters from the partnership’s proven racing and breeding families, including close relatives of Federation, Amal and Combine winners. Each youngster’s breeding and the full supplied results are set out in its individual lot description.
The pedigrees bring together their established Rhythm family, the Flash Harry and Mystique lines, Blue Euro and the Best Kittel family. These are families that have earned their place in the loft through results, with proven racers and breeders close up in the youngsters’ pedigrees.
