INTRODUCTION

 

At Ogilvie lofts Duncan & Tom are the fourth generation of a very successful family of fanciers stretching back over  100 years of participation within the sport.  They have continued in the winning ways of their fore-fathers by continually moving with the times in terms of systems, diet and most importantly stock.  Their present family of birds that have set all sorts of new records over the last decade consists of Heremans-Ceusters from the late Tam Blair and Premier Stud, 20 Stefaan Lambrechts bred by Stefaan himself and the very best of G W P Macaloney’s from all of their top breeders and champion racers.  At the start of 2025 6 grandchildren of Blizzard King Kittel were introduced direct from Yannik at the Flanders Collection – and what an impact they have had in a single young bird season.

 

A special mention must be attributed to one of the finest pairs of Heremans-Ceusters ever to exist in the UK namely Chieftan and Blue Thunder.  The former number 1 pair of the late Tam Blair, purchased at his entire clearance sale and what a fantastic decision this turned out to be.  This pair are responsible for Club, Fed, Combine, Amal and National winners all over the UK and further afield.  They are direct parents to 1^st Open SNFC Hen’s National Maidstone, 2^nd Open  SNFC National,

3 X 1^st Section in Nationals and Gparent’s or GGparent’s to North West OLR Winner – £10,000,

1^st Open Welsh National,  1^st Section 6^th Open National Flying Club, National Ace Birds in the MNFC along with 4 SHU Award Winners.  Ogilvie Lofts have over 200 X 1^st prize winners and over 100 X 1^st Fed winners reported to them down through this one in a life time pair of pigeons.

 

Blue Thunder passed away a few seasons ago but “Chieftan” still exists to this day and in 2024 produced his last 3 young birds when coupled to his own Gdaughter “Joint Vision”.  A son from this pair named “Legacy” has just produced the SHU Award Winner for multi performance young bird results in 2025.  Ogilvie Lofts were also fortunate enough to retain the “Celtic Trophy” for the best multi performance old bird up to a distance of 300miles in 2025 with “Keltic Prince” a further Gson of “Chieftan”.

 

In this sale there will be 3 inbred double Gchildren and 6 additional Gchildren of “Chieftan” and all have the potential to found lofts.

 

The last 11 remaining original Lambrechts will be given free with one of their offspring and when you digest the level of winning that the direct children of these originals have achieved, it’s well worth retaining these birds for a few more seasons as they have the potential to leave a dynasty of producers for years to come.

 

There are 2 lots the same way bred as “Keltic Prince” direct from one of the best breeding Vandenabeele Hens in the UK – “Lady Blue”.

 

There are also 2 lots both cocks and full brothers to “Keltic Princess” the National Ace pigeon up to 300miles in 2024.

 

A further 2 lots are direct from a son of G W P Macaloney’s “Dream Pair” when paired to “Azura Thunder” a direct daughter of Chieftan and Blue Thunder – Pedigrees do not come any better than this.

 

There will be 5 lots direct from their “New Blizzard Bloodlines” that have achieved phenomenal  results in their first young bird season.

 

Nearly every lot is full/half brother or sister to Fed winners.

*Their loft is located in the north section and is also one of the most westerly in the Federation and they compete against lofts up to 11 miles south east of their own loft location.
