Crehan & O’Connor of Salford have built their reputation by winning at Club, Federation, Combine and National level, and this select draft comes from the same performance-led breeding policy that has kept the loft at the front for many years.
The partnership were NWGNFC Highest Prize Winners in both 2024 and 2025, and 2025 also brought another major honour when BE24-4184305 won 1st RPRA National Adult Short Distance Award. The performances behind that award included 1st North West Amal 2,422 birds, 1st North Cheshire Federation 858 birds, 3rd Central Lancashire Combine 1,011 birds, 4th Border Amalgamation 1,128 birds and 6th Central Lancashire Combine 1,395 birds.
That recent success sits alongside a much deeper record. Crehan & O’Connor have won 1st Open National Flying Club Ancennis against 5,160 birds, 1st RPRA North West Region Armistice Race Carentan against 4,406 birds, and have produced 1st RPRA National All-Round Ace Pigeon and multiple Regional Ace and Olympiad pigeons. The loft has also recorded outstanding Combine performances, including “BULLET” winning 1st Club, 1st Federation and 1st Combine against 6,300 pigeons.
This sale is about the next generation. The 12 pigeons offered have been selected from some of the most exciting modern blood introduced into the Crehan & O’Connor loft, headed by BLIZZARD KING KITTEL, KING ARTHUR and KITTEL, together with the elite Flanders Collection families.
Several lots are DIRECT GRANDCHILDREN OF BLIZZARD KING KITTEL — 1st National Ace KBDB 2021, 1st World Best Pigeon FCI Young Birds 2021, 1st Provincial Ace KBDB 2021 and 2nd Olympic Ace 2022. Importantly, Crehan & O’Connor have not simply bought the name: direct children CHEQ MATE and POLAR have been tested on the road, while the close Blizzard family throughout this draft is backed by Federation, Combine and Open performance.
The KING ARTHUR influence comes through EXCALIBUR, a direct son of the 1st National Ace KBDB 2023. Excalibur is already proving his worth at stock. His retained daughter “EXCALIBERS GOLD” won 1st Federation Cheltenham against 935 birds. The ONLY direct child of EXCALIBUR offered in this sale is Lot 1, “EXCALIBUR’S LEGACY”, a full brother to that Federation-winning hen. This is exactly the type of early breeding evidence Crehan & O’Connor want to see from a major stock cock.

LOTS 3 & 4 — FULL SISTERS, bred BLUE GLAZIER x BE24-4184517, a direct daughter of MEALY KITTEL 040. Both are DIRECT GRANDDAUGHTERS OF BLIZZARD KING KITTEL, crossed into the outstanding Mealy Kittel family.
LOTS 5 & 8 — FULL BROTHERS, bred THE BLIZZNESS x FULL SIS BLIZZARD. Both are DIRECT GRANDSONS OF BLIZZARD KING KITTEL and their mother is a FULL SISTER TO BLIZZARD KING KITTEL, making this an exceptionally concentrated Blizzard mating.
