Paul Corley – Top fancier and winner of 1st Open Midlands National Flying Club
Bordeaux 2025 with his super hen “Ollie”. This hen has had four channel races and been in
the prizes every time. As a yearling she had one race from Norte Sur Erdre, winning
2nd Dewsbury & Wakefield 3-bird club 433 miles, timed in heavy rain after 14 hrs 48 mins on
the wing. She has then gone on t 5th Dewsbury & Wakefield 3-bird club Vire, followed by 5th D
& W 3-bird club Fourgeres. She then had a inland warmer up race before going to Bordeaux.
The race was hard, North-East winds all the way and with temperatures up to 32 degrees.
Only 28 birds were timed in race time, but this gutsy hen braved the 610-mile journey to win
1st Open Midlands National Flying Club, winning by 50 minutes, flying some 58 miles further
than the bird in 2nd Open!!
The young bird on offer is Blue Cock GB-25-N-32193, this cock would not have been available
had it not been for him hitting the wires whilst in the race team and breaking his leg, this
leaving him with a limp but will not interfere with his role in the stock loft. His breeding is as
follows – His sire is bred through the lines of Andy Holland having the lines of the Brian Denny,
Strensall and Auke Smid, the Dutch long-distance racer, his birds go out to 850 miles from
Barcelona. His mother a hen through the birds Taverne Rigole via Wolfenden & O’Neil. The
dam of 32193 is the Midlands National Winner herself, this hen is impeccably bred, her dam
bred by Chris Paauwe in Holland, is from on the sires side the very best of Jelle Jellema and
Jos Pepping with many top National and International performers there to be seen. The
mother’s side one of my favourite lines, the fabulous birds of Arjan Beens, again many top
National and International birds there to be seen including “Snelle Jelle”, the top racer and
stock cock for Arjan Beens, he can be seen in many of the top Barcelona International birds.
Any further information you need is available from Paul, this again a truly fantastic offer direct
from a Midlands National Winner.
