Dennis Anderson – I first met Dennis at Doncaster show, he had brought a few of his
best birds to be photographed as they were big winners. All were class but one of these cocks
a multiple winner from France in to Scotland, a Chequer Jan Aarden cock, when I got him in
hands, I didn’t want to give him back, absolute perfection!! He was as nice as anything I had
handled ever.
Dennis is offering 2 x 2026 yb’s from the stock loft, no details of what they will be off as the
2026 pairings have not yet been worked out, one thing I can guarantee is the quality you will
get.
This is one of Scotlands top performing National lofts, to put pen to paper and list all the many
top results going back over 40 years would be mind blowing. To name just a few and as
Dennis states from the time where his grandson Dennis Jnr has been involved, from 2020 the
results are as follows – 1st Sec 1st Open SNFC 305 miles, 1st Sec 21st Open SNFC 505
miles, 1st Sec 62nd Open SNFC 279 miles, 2nd Sec 2nd Open SNFC 474 miles, 2nd Sec
60th Open SNFC 384 miles, 3rd Sec 9TH Open SNFC 474 miles,3rd Sec 24th Open SNFC
226 miles, 4th Sec 7th Open SNFC 527 miles, 4th Sec 5th Open SNFC 282 miles, 5th Sec
13th Open SNFC 401 miles, 6th Sec 15th Open SNFC 446 miles, 6th Sec 36th Open SNFC
474 miles, 7th Sec 10th Open SNFC 496 miles, 9th Sec 13th Open SNFC 474 miles, 9th Sec
14th Open SNFC 496 miles. To add to this over 30 x 1st prizes in the Annan Homing Society,
plus many more prizes.
A top pair of birds for sure from Dennis but to end this write-up I must mention Dennis Jnr, his
right-hand man, but who races his own team at the side of Grandad. In 2025, Jnr has
accomplished what he set out for – 1st Scottish National South Section & Region Averages,
to add to this – Runner-up Open Averages Scottish National Flying Club and the only member
to have timed and scored at all 7 races, well done Jnr, I don’t think they will be the last we see
as this lad is a star of the future!!
